Breandán O'Conchúir
I, Breandan, am a native of West Kerry. I started doing timber work first for my hom and then as a hobby that grew into a semi-professional occupation.
Even though I started creating large furniture items such as wardrobes and bedroom furniture, even made some beds, I now concentrate mainly on Sugan children's chairs, as were shown on 'Nationwide' on RTE television. These can be personalised with the name of the child. Other items I make include coffee tables, some made with recycled wood and slate. 'Noses' - these are spectacle holders in the shape of a nose, small book holders and CD holders. I work with all types of wood and use wax or oil finishes on my creations.
I have been selling my work through 'An Gailearai Beag' since 2005, and also from my workshop at home.

'Noses' are spectacle holders, an interesting gift. Answer that age old question once and for all.
'Where are my glasses?' 'On your nose.'
Sugan chairs, traditionally made in all sizes, great and small.

The dim lights burning inside these pieces reflects on the images, inscriptions, my thoughts, prayers and poems inspired by the Dingle Peninsula.
Each individual piece is hand made using slabs of clay. The text is inscribed onto sheets of porcelain paper clay using a pin and oxides.
Each piece is bisque fired, then glazed and fired to approximately 1260 degrees.
Fiona Wood
Fiona and Jazz Wood are stained glass artists who live and work at Cloonsharragh, a hamlet between Cloghane and Brandon on the North side of the Dingle Peninsula. Their studio overlooks Brandon Bay and is surrounded by Stradbally, Beenoskee and Brandon Mountains.
Fiona and Jazz specialise in producing glass work that reflects the area. All of their designs are original, incorporating the flowers and scenery of the bay. Fuschias, flag irises, calla lilies, celtic knotwork designs and the mountains are the inspirations for their windows, light-catchers, lamps and mirrors. The watery landscape of Kerry, the sandstone of the hills and the ever-changing light of the skies are captured in the beauty of stained glass.
Visitors are always welcome at our studio to watch us work. If you are looking for something unique as a gift or for your home we are experienced at working with clients in producing quality, original pieces.

Betty Ryan
Betty is a ceramic artist living and working on the beautiful Dingle Peninsula. Betty's studio in Ballyferriter in the heart of the Gaeltacht looks out on the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding hills of Ceann Sibeal and An Triur Deifear on one side Cruach Mharthain on the other.
Betty works with stoneware clay firing to 1250C. Each piece is unique as it's made on the potter's wheel and individually glazed. While creating mostly functional pieces in the traditional style she is inspired by the surrounding rugged landscape.
Betty's studio is open to the public, where one may also choose a pot from the earthenware range, be creative and paint it yourself with your own design, have it glazed and take home your own very special pot.
